Thirteen
Tuesday was the first time I saw the movie Thirteen. It was disturbing. I can only hope that my field informants will not come close to the adolescents in the movie, as I do not feel prepared to deal with those types of problems. I am hoping to learn a lot about the adolescent culture during this assignment, if for no other reason than to learn "warning signs" and be able to keep up with what my children will be exposed to!

you are not alone--and youshould be disturbed by the film. Even though they are all trying to hang in there--the acting out, the "notice me," behavior is tough to watch
